Located in the western Fort Bend County, bordering the San Bernard River. The city has experienced fluctuations in population throughout its history, with a steady decline since 1990.
About Kendleton, Texas
Kendleton, Texas us a small city in Fort Bend County with a rich history as a freedman’s town. Founded in the 1860s by freed slaves who purchased land from a plantation owner named William Kendall. Kendall divided his plantation and sold small farms to formerly enslaved people. Kendleton was officially incorporated as a city in 1973.
Our Staff
Dinah “Ms. Dee” Dunmon, Managing Director, was born and raised in Kendleton, Texas. She attended Powell Point School in Kendleton. After high school, she attended college in Austin, TX and San Marcos, TX, graduating from Southwest TX State University (aka Texas State University). She also attended State University of New York at Binghamton with a Master of Business Administration.
In 1991, Ms. Dee began her corporate career specializing in insurance, claims, legal, finance, and corporate training. With her more than 30 years’ experience, she’s excited about her latest project, Help Center of Kendleton, TX.
